Since its foundation in 1948, UF Uppsala has been working to encourage debate on foreign politics and international affairs. We do this by arranging weekly lectures throughout the academic year, hosting a radio show, creating a magazine, organizing trips and study visits, and much more.
Over the years, we have invited a variety of interesting people to hold lectures; from environmental activists and journalists to ambassadors and politicians. Among past lecturers you can find Herbert Tingsten, Per-Anders Fogelström, Alva and Gunnar Myrdal, Olof Palme, Günther Wallraff, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Anna Lindh, Hans Blix, Mohamed El-Baradei, Carl Bildt, Göran Persson, Kofi Annan and Ban Ki-Moon. Lectures are free for members while non-members pay 60 SEK.
If you sign up today, you get a one-year UF membership for free. After a year, the membership expires automatically. The membership includes our magazine Uttryck and the possibility to attend lectures and partake in working groups, parties, trips, and much more!
